A devout Buddhist was striving to enhance her love for the neighbor. But always when she went to the market, a merchant made her indecent proposals.

One rainy morning, when the man touted her again, she lost control and hit him in the face with the umbrella. That afternoon she went to find a monk to tell him what happened.

-I'm embarrassed,- she said. -I did not get to control my hate.

-Certainly it was not right that you felt hate for him,- said the monk. -The next time he says something, fill your heart of kindness ... and hit him again with the umbrella, because he only understands this language.
